Kari Angelica Peña is a New York born Salvadoreña/Colombiana writer, director and editor based in Utah.

While her work is varied, she loves to tell meaningful stories centered around normal people struggling with every day problems. She is driven by her love of people, their stories, and finding the deeper meaning in them (even the most mundane).

Having experience in directing and editing for herself and other filmmakers (such as editing Chantelle Squire’s short, “Patience” featured in festivals such as the Hollywood Shorts Fest & the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards), and corporations (such as editing for Nature’s Sunshine) have helped her grow as a filmmaker. Kari is always searching for new opportunities to blossom and express her creativity.
